So some may have noticed but I launched my very first webcomic. Its called WorldEnders and its all about...well I would be lying if I said I was completely sure I knew what the hell it was about. What it certainly has become about is improvement and learning. Its one thing to pencil a page and be done with it. Its one thing to ink a page and be done with it. Its one thing to color a page and be done with it. Lettering? One thing ( one pain in the ass thing I seriously hate!) But you combine all those things and top it off by trying to come up with a coherent story and boy have you got a bucket full of WTF?!! Its an adjustment but its a fun adjustment. With every page comes trial and error. With every mistake comes a how do I fix that solution or in some cases how do I just not do that again and hope people don't notice it too much this time around. The great part is that currently no one is paying for it so no-one can technically complain.
As much fun as I am having banging my head finding the least easy way to do some of this stuff I would ask that if any of you who do produce a webcomic or have some insight please share your knowledge. I absolutely know there are better ways out there but aside from google and you tube Im just tossing tomatoes at a politician. Its hit and miss.
Oh and yeah also I may very well be at the upcoming Emerald City Comic Con with Seattle publisher QEW press who I am currently working with on a comic project in the very early stages. I say may being that who knows what misadventures will fill my life between now and the end of this month. Ive only ever been to one comic convention and that was ECC 2010 when James Foster and I created the cover for Creators Edge press preview which was given out free that year. I had a great time but didn't make last years con because I had so much going on but I am really looking forward to this year so I very much hope I can make it.
Last but not least I'm tossing commissions back on the table. I could use the income. Pricing is as such:
