Just slapping this together to let anyone who I know of who follows me on Deviant what I am up to art wise among other things. I find myself surprisingly busy for someone who is doing the equivalent of a dog chasing his tails shadow. Currently on the art table is thumbnails for two pages which I will be penciling for what I hope to be a rebirth anthology for Castout Comics. If you don't know who or what Castout is don't worry your not alone. Its a small independent "comic company" comprised of myself and a few friends who contribute work in hopes of it seeing press. It has not been a successful venture in the purest sense but it has over the years created a large amount of work which we hope to include in this anthology.
I'm still at work on my America-Manga venture entitled Shotgun Kitten. I did complete a ten page prologue which was included in Rewat Imak's Ash Ashley Volume 2. Manga is fun but more difficult than I anticipated but I have managed to stick with it so far so I am pleased with myself for that. Speaking of Rewat Imak I am also coloring a few pinups of his for what I believe is his Ash Ashley calendar as part of an art trade. Its fun work and Its also helping me learn more.
Also I have been taking a Kubert Correspondence penciling course over the last year or so. Ive almost completed it and have only one more assignment to turn in. Its been a very informative learning experience and its nice to have the feedback of trained professionals when you can get it. Deviant can sometimes be a great place for that as well so when anyone here offers critiques of my work I am always pleased.
O.k. I think that catches me all up. On a closing note I wanted to ask if anyone would be interested in art trades? Ive seen quite a few of you have great success with them and would love to have some of the art created by my favorite Deviant members. I also know that many of you are terribly busy so I understand if you simply do not have time. In any case I hope everyone is and continues to do well. I should be posting artwork soonish depending on which projects I'm pleased enough to want to share. As always thank you for your support and encouragement.

Going Manga? Bring me back Sushi.
So I haven't posted a Journal entry in a while which is because I have been busy with everything BUT art. Life sometimes gets in the way ya know. Still I have done a few things which currently are taking up space in a pile on the floor next to the art table which I may or may not post depending on how lazy I am. I did recently complete 13 pages of pencils for the Comic Artist Guild to be included in their Iconic anthology. If all goes well it should see release sometime this year around November for a con in NYC. I was asked to do inks for the project as well but due to my increasing schedule I simply had to decline. Life and all that.

Stripped and Warm
Just an update for those who keep up with me (those few of you I am truly grateful for) to let you know whats currently at the art table. I'm currently penciling the Stripped Graphic novel for QEW publishing. Its an edgy, gritty, black exploitation indy film inspired title that will hopefully turn heads when completed. The script is a solid one and revolves around a Stripper with a "heart of gold" as it were. I will be responsible for 75 interior pages and two covers so this should keep me busy for a while at least.
In between doing pages I am still very interested in doing commissions and am keeping open slots for them. Also some of you k

Anyone else write a new journal entry just because they are sick of seeing the last journal entry every time they log into their account? No? Just me? hmph.
So art wise I think I'm progressing to where i want to be. Only missing one small portion of the motivation that keeps an artist able to grow, learn, blah blah yadda yadda :FINANCIAL COMPENSATION! Its been a rough year for yours truly when it comes to the wallet candy and meeting ends meet. I'm not currently destitute but its heading that direction unfortunately. So here is my question to the DA community of artists. How do YOU promote your artwork and solicit for commission work?

The End of the World as we know it...and I feel...
So some may have noticed but I launched my very first webcomic. Its called WorldEnders and its all about...well I would be lying if I said I was completely sure I knew what the hell it was about. What it certainly has become about is improvement and learning. Its one thing to pencil a page and be done with it. Its one thing to ink a page and be done with it. Its one thing to color a page and be done with it. Lettering? One thing ( one pain in the ass thing I seriously hate!) But you combine all those things and top it off by trying to come up with a coherent story and boy have you got a bucket full of WTF?!! Its an adjustment but its a fun a
